First Impressions

Set around a bay, Port Villa, the capital of Vanuatu, is a surprisingly compact town, with a few dusty main streets offering up a supply of souvenirs next to bright, busy clothing and fresh food markets and waterfront restaurants. Add to this supermarkets that seem to have been airlifted in from France, a smiling population, and, thanks mostly to the frequent  presence of cruise ships, a raft of adventure activities creating a buzz in the bay.

This place reminds me a lot of my time spent in Papua New Guinea. Bislama is the local language and my basic Pigeon English seems to suffice.
